Hi! I’m Clara.

I'm a lot of things! Including a creative technologist, product designer, and artist living in Brooklyn.

I'm interested in building better tools for communities and telling stories. I use technology to make art and explore themes related to the human experience such as memory, storytelling, and migrations.

I work as a product designer with emphasis in user experience, creating tools and experiences for a number of big-name brands.

I hold a Masters from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU and a BA in International Relations with focus on Sociology and a

My approach

I leverage a deep understanding of user behavior, design principles, and usability to solve the design problem (the what) and help our users (the why). And, of course, find spaces to include delightful elements in these solutions.

  • Use a wide range of research methods, including user research, market analysis, and stakeholder interviews to understand the intricacies of the processes and user needs. This step is crucial in identifying challenges, opportunities. Then, syntesize the findings and defining the problem to solve, the WHAT are we solving and WHY are we doing it.

  • Foster a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams generate creative solutions to address identified opportunities. Through structured brainstorming sessions, we explore innovative concepts, ensuring that our design solutions not only align with user needs but also contribute to enhancing the overall experience.

  • I translate conceptual ideas into tangible and interactive prototypes, allowing for iterative testing and refinement of the user interface. These prototypes serve as a visual representation of our design solutions, facilitating collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring that the final product seamlessly aligns with both user expectations and our business partners’ goals.
This step also allows me to design consistently with our greater design system.

  • Collaborating with our research team conducting usability tests with users to evaluate the effectiveness and user-friendliness of our prototypes. This iterative testing process allows us to gather valuable feedback, identify potential pain points, and refine our designs.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure the seamless integration and implementation of the finalized design. Create artifacts and files ready for handoff and maintain constant communication with our devs.

  • Analyze user feedback, performance metrics, and industry trends to inform ongoing improvements.

In art & wok, I explore how technology and its formats can create spaces for empathy based on the understanding that the stories that matter to us are connected while centering on diversity and the immigrant experience.
